Ivo obtained his Master degree in 2010 in biochemistry at the Masaryk University in Brno. The theme of his diploma thesis was mass spectrometric analysis of oligosaccharides. In 2018 he finished postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Military Health Sciences in Hradec Kralove of the University of Defence, where he focused on a proteomic analysis of cellular signaling events occurring in dendritic cells infected by the bacterium Francisella tularensis. In 2018 he got the position of researcher in Biomedical Research Center (BRC) where he stayed until 2019. The same year he joined Anetta Härtlova’s lab at the University of Gothenburg, where he investigated phagocyte biology using proteomics. He returned to BRC in 2021 and is now a member of proteomic working group.
