Martin obtained his Ph.D. in 2017 at Faculty of Military Health Sciences of University of Defence in Hradec Kralove. The main aim of his thesis was to design and synthesis of novel inhibitors of DNA-dependent kinase and related kinases. Currently, he is a postdoctorand at Institute of Molecular Genetics of the ASCR, where he study colisions of DNA replication and transcription machineries.
