Petr graduated from University of Pardubice, Faculty of chemical technology where he got his Master degree in 2009. The main aim of the diploma thesis was the identification of Malassezia pachydermatis using molecular–biological methods. His PhD thesis was defend in 2018 at University of Defence, Faculty of Military Health Sciences. The topic of thesis was DNA damage induced by sulphur mustard and the effect on the cytotoxicity.
