ATM (ataxia telangiectasia mutated)
Our aim is design, synthesis and identification of small molecules affecting the ataxia telangiectasia mutated kinase (ATM) and related protein kinases. These inhibitors are potential sensitizers of cancer cells to DNA damaging therapy.
Working group performs:
- design of small molecules targeted for inhibition of ATM and related protein kinases
- targeted synthesis of small organic molecules with presumed inhibitory activities against ATM and related protein kinases
- structure-activity relationship of synthesized inhibitors

Surfactants of gold nanorods
Our aim is design, synthesis and identification of small molecules affecting the surface of gold nanorods for the purpose of influencing their physicochemical properties. Surface-modified gold nanoparticles have potential applications as theranostics within cancer treatment.
Working group performs:
- design of small molecules targeted to surface modification of gold nanorods
- targeted synthesis of small organic molecules with presumed modulation of physicochemical properties of gold nanorods
- structure-activity relationship of synthesized surfactants of gold nanorods
