Narcolepsy is a condition of orexin deficiency hence, replacement therapy using orexin receptor agonists could be valuable for its treatment. The aim of our group is to develop novel orexin receptor modulators intended to treat narcolepsy
Working group is responsible for:
- in silico studies of small molecules that selectively target orexin receptors
- synthesis of small organic compounds with predicted affinity to orexin receptors
- structure-activity relationship elucidation in the family of developed compounds
- in vivo studies of selected drug leads
