Lucie obtained her PhD in 2009 at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Kralove, Charles University in Prague. The main goal of the doctoral thesis was chemical modification of the enzyme phosphotriesterase using biocompatible polymers, subsequent purification and biochemical characterization of prepared conjugates and their in vivo study. Second part of the thesis was focused on testing of reactivation efficacy of oxime reactivators using organophophate pesticide-inhibited butyrylcholinesterase. Currently, she works as research and development fellow at the Biomedical Research Centre, University Hospital Hradec Kralove and she is responsible for testing of cholinesterase modulatos usable as new drugs. She is an assistant professor in Department of Toxicology and Military Pharmacy, Faculty of Military Health Sciences, University of Defence at the same time.
